Thankful Thursday..err Friday

My plan was to do a post every Thursday about something (not so common) that I am thankful for. Well it is Friday opps.

While I'm thankful for my family, the things we have, etc I want to talk about something else...I'm thankful for school, eek. I don't love school, I don't love being here every day, but I am thankful for being able to go. We have made do with one income (which does mean sacraficing things), we have to rely on my mom a ton to watch Parker. I'm am very fortunate to be able to further my education. I have an incredibly understanding husband who helps out when he can(but he has to work a bunch). I'm thankful for the oppurtunity (ie being accepted) to be in pharmacy school. I complain about it all the time but I am thankful to be here (and by here YES I'm in class)

Tulsa Run

all of training paid off! I set a new PR (personal record) at the Tulsa Run!!!! I finished in 34.27. That is approx. 11min/mi. The last race I participated in was in May 2007, when I was like 20 weeks pregnant...I ran that 5k in 39ish minutes.

I'm going to keep running, and improve my time for the Disney 5k in January.

Don't know which is worse?

This UTI is kicking my bootie. I'm still having pain, therfore I'm still taking the bladder analgesic and it is making me want to vomit :( today I drove to my site visit and wasn't sure I would make it without puking in the car. I have taken the medicine before, but this time it is awful. It is also taking FOREVER to work. I'm ready to not feel like poop. Usually after two days of antibiotics I'm feeling better; this is the UTI from hell. (my iPhone autocorrected hell to he'll, haha).

Some dude was hitting on me at the pharmacy, I was flashing my wedding ring, I mentioned my husband. I think he thought I was a pharmacist, and is looking for a sugar momma! I'm thinking about getting a job?? I liked my site visit, they need some help. I would only work 1 Saturday a month while I'm in school. I don't know...

Writing a Book

For several years I have thought of writing a book. I have come up with two titles (one I like better than the other), I have also come up with a pen name. While I will be proud of the finished product, I don't know if I can put my name to it...

It is a memoir, although I may interview some friends for some of there more *interesting* adventures.

I am also thinking of not writing a book, but rather just setting up a new blog COMPLETLY separate from this one and just publishing my stories on the internet. I am currently keeping the book as a closed/private blog that was I can write away from home.

I think I have some funny stories to tell (I had written a chapter), I had some interesting adventures in my single life…

Wishful Wednesday

Photobucket

I love this...

'I wish' .... I was six years old and going trick or treating, and my costume would be _____!

I would be Minnie Mouse so I could match Parker! We love all things Disney at our house. Parker will be dressed as Mickey Mouse this Saturday (I need to get the costume made...).

How cute is this???

But since I think going as a "sexy" Minnie is so very WRONG, I think I might dress up as Pam from True Blood...the Fangtasia version!

And maybe Morgan can be Eric???

Yes that will work!

See what everyone else is going as: The Seattle Smith's

It is Tuesday and I took a "sick" day

Sorry that I hit publish on my Wishful Wednesday post, I think I fixed it, you may have to see it again (but it is now complete!)

I had a great weekend! Kelly got married, the wedding was beautiful and the "after" party was lots of fun! I haven't been out that late (midnight) in a long time. I definitely paid for it Sunday...

When my grandmother passed away last spring, I received her (possibly her mother's) sewing machine, and sewing table that my grandfather made. I have yet to use it, but I think I may try it out! I am making Parker's Halloween costume (Mickey Mouse) and I need to turn a pair of Halloween tights into legging for the Tulsa Run. I have wanted to learn how to sew for a while now. I would like to take lesson sometime, but for right now I'm just gonna figure it out...

Speaking of the Tulsa Run...wow it is Saturday...yikes. My dad and I are running together. He said he would go as fast or slow as I needed to, and we would walk some too. It will be his 60th birthday! I think I need to make him a shirt! I have totally been slacking on my running for the past few weeks. The weather has been sucky, and school has been a little crazy, and I haven't felt great. I did run today...UTI and all. Luckily I didn't pee on my self

First school induced illness

Has everyone heard of med students thinking they have the diseases they are studying? When I thought about med school my mom was nervous because I'm a hypochondriac and she knew it would happen to me. We just started our "modules" in school. Basicly the body is broken down into sections/disease states and we learn about all the drugs etc. The one I'm in now is called Health Care. We aren't learning about disease yet, but today at the mention of urinalysis and UTI I seem to have come down with one. I don't thinkthis us hypochondria I think it is coinsudence. No matter what it is it SUCKS, I'm off to take some AZO
